You’ve got a flat roof and you’re thinking about solar. Maybe a contractor already told you it’s “complicated” or quoted you a price that felt suspiciously high. Here’s the thing: flat roofs are actually one of the better candidates for solar installation when it’s done right. Unlike a steep pitched roof where panel angle is locked in by the structure, a flat roof gives you control. You can orient panels for maximum production, point them true south, dial in the tilt angle for your latitude, and space them to avoid self-shading.
